Business opportunities for Swedish companies in Sub-Saharan Africa

The conference Sub-Saharan Africa Day 2012 will be hosted by the Swedish Trade Council, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Swedish embassies in Sub-Saharan Africa. With the participation of Dr. Ewa Björling, Sweden´s Minister for Trade.

“Sub-Sahara is a high growth market demanding products and services in the core areas of Swedish export. But it is also in many ways a high risk market, and therefore a market where EKN often is critical for an export transaction to materialize. EKN currently guarantees about 25 percent of the total Swedish export to Sub Sahara”, says EKN:s Rebecka Lundgren, one of the speakers in the conference.

Rebecka Lundgren is EKN´s Country Analyst for Southern, Eastern and Central Africa. Before she joined EKN in 2007 she worked for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, in the Swedish embassies of Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria and at the Africa Department in Stockholm.

EKN is present at the conference as a speaker, at the exhibit and as a partner to the arrangement.
