The power from the North Sea’s winds to be transmitted to UK homes by Swedish technology

Dogger Bank Wind Farm in the North Sea is expected to become the world’s largest offshore wind farm. On completion, it will be capable of powering 6 million typical UK homes*. EKN is contributing to the project by providing guarantees for the financing of the purchases from the Swedish suppliers Hitachi ABB Power Grids and NKT for the first two phases.

Booming demand for EKN’s crisis measures

EKN issued guarantee offers totalling more than SEK 120.7 billion in the first four months of 2020. The more than six-fold increase is due to booming demand for working capital credit guarantees. “They’ve given companies essential assistance for financing working capital during the crisis,” says Anna-Karin Jatko, Director-General of EKN.

The Government proposes an increase in EKN’s guarantee limit
