Increased statutory limit
The Swedish Government proposes to raise EKN’s guarantee limit by SEK 50 billion in response to growing demand for export credit guarantees.
In its spring budget, the Government proposes an increase in the ceiling for the total amount of risk EKN may assume, from SEK 500 billion to SEK 550 billion. The proposal comes amid heightened global uncertainty, including economic volatility, which has led to increased demand for export credit guarantees.
At the end of 2024, EKN had utilised SEK 431.2 billion of its limit, compared to SEK 393.8 billion at the end of 2023.
