From 20 September 2024, new functions will be introduced in EKN’s customer portal EKN Online. The new functions enable the Account Holder to:

  • use time-limited user authorisations (Powers of Attorney),
  • turn off the function that allows Account Administrators to appoint Users by issuing user authorisation,
  • issue all types of user authorisations without the authorised signatory being a User in EKN Online.

This entails a requirement for two signatures also when issuing user authorisations to Business Accounts that require guarantee documents to be signed by two authorised Users. The issuing of user authorisations electronically in EKN Online will thus require two Account Administrators acting jointly.

In connection with the introduction of the above functions, the General Terms and Conditions for EKN Online are also updated. In addition to reflecting the new functions, the revised General Terms and Conditions include updated conditions for use of e-identification, misuse of the portal and processing of personal data. Revised conditions apply to all accounts in EKN Online.

The revised General Terms and Conditions for EKN Online are available on EKN’s website and enter into force on 20 September 2024.

In connection with this, the format for new user authorisations for EKN Online is also updated.
